Why do I need a website?

A website is a key marketing material to help improve your business' visibility, outreach, and credibility. Establishing a strong presence on the web ensures your customers have access to vital information about your company and the services it provides. Unlike traditional print media, it is available to consumers 24/7, and can easily be updated, changed, or redesigned to fit your current business model. Scalabilty, flexibility, and unprecedented visibility ensure your customers are never left without answers.

What does "responsive web design" mean?

Before the advent of smart phones and other multimedia devices that have uninterrupted access to the internet, websites were build primarily for home pcs and laptops with limited or no scalability. Today, devices of all shapes and sizes, including windows and android based smartphones, iPhones, iPads, tablets, and a variety of other multimedia devices have access to the internet and your website. A responsive website re-scales content in proportion to the device it is currently being accessed by, ensuring content is displayed to customers in a format that is easy to read and navigate through.

Can I make my own website?

With some technical understanding of the world wide web and how information is displayed to users, building your own website has become a reality to many small business owners. There are a multitude of companies claiming to offer simple drag and drop website builders and tools to make your own website devoid of any programming knowledge. Consider owning a vehicle. With some knowledge and understanding of basic mechanics and access to the required tools, you can change a tire, your oil, and perform other basic maintenance tasks. Albeit satisfying, you wouldn't change out your motor or transmission without consulting a professional mechanic, would you? Your website should be treated the same way. You may have the knowledge to maintain certain aspects of your website, but building a professional, maintainable website requires an experienced web design and development company.

What if I choose to work with another designer down the road?

Here at Moonshine Web Design, we do not condone the practice of holding designs hostage. If we develop a logo or website for your company and you choose to work with another company down the road, you retain full rights to your artwork. At your request, we will give you a full backup of your website or logo for your ease of mind. We offer this complimentary service because we're confident that once you've worked with Moonshine Web Design, you won't want to work with anyone else.

Where can I find samples of your work?

Due to the high volume of work that goes through Moonshine Web Design, it would be impossible to maintain an archive of every project we've ever completed. We instead maintain an active portfolio for our customers with our most recent projects. If you have a question about a specific project or idea, please feel free to contact us here.
